A butler is paid
not to gossip.
Reavo is a video butler — a small program that reads your YouTube Watch Later and arranges what's in there into tidy playlists. To do that I need to look at a few things and remember a few others. Here is the whole list. No fine print, no gestures at "industry standard practices."
What I read
Only your YouTube Watch Later. Reavo asks Google for read access to that one playlist plus the right to create and write to playlists I make on your behalf — nothing more. I never see your search history, your subscriptions, your liked videos, or anything outside Watch Later.
What I keep
For each Watch Later item I'm sorting: the YouTube video ID, the title, the channel, the duration, and a small set of public tags. I keep your encrypted Google refresh token, your account email, your buckets, and the rules you've taught me. That's the whole list.
What I throw away
After a video is filed into one of your buckets, I discard the description and any metadata I used only to make the decision. The classification reasons stay (so I can show you why) but the raw text I fed the model is gone.
How long I keep it
Sort run records and per-video classifications: 90 days. Correction history (the patterns you've taught me): kept while your account is active. When you disconnect, I delete your stored tokens immediately and the rest within 30 days. You can ask for an earlier wipe at any time.
Where the AI lives
Classification runs against Azure OpenAI in the EU region. Your video metadata is processed there in transit, never used to train a foundation model, and not shared with OpenAI for training (Microsoft's no-training contractual terms). No queue content leaves the EU boundary.
What I don't do
I don't sell your data. I don't share what you save with advertisers, partners, or affiliates. I don't train models on your queue. I don't watch videos on your behalf — Reavo never plays a video, that's still YouTube's job. I don't read playlists that aren't Watch Later.
Your controls
You can disconnect from Settings at any time — your buckets unspool back into a single playlist on your end and I delete the Reavo side. You can ask me to forget patterns I've learned, per bucket or globally. You can request an export of everything I hold on you.
Cookies
One session cookie for sign-in (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax) and one anti-forgery cookie. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics that follow you off-site.
Changes to this notice
If I change anything material — what I read, what I keep, where it's processed — I'll email account holders before the change takes effect. The version history of this page is tracked in source control.
